How to maintain motivation levers with staff members who are already accustomed to rewards?
The client’s brief
Create the ultimate stage of a serious game on the theme “Yes, we win”: a very motivating reward for the very best. The challenge is to offer an exceptional experience to their audience who is already accustomed to prestigious destinations, so that beyond the reward, a real motivational lever is internally deployed through the emulation triggered by people’s feedback of this trip.
Wagram & vous’ solutions
- A long-haul destination consistent with the annual challenge’s theme: the American West
- A program with a succession of unique and rewarding experiences that would not be possible to experience on an individual trip: to create a WOW effect!
Assisted by one of Wagram & Vous’ project leader, the 25 winners of the serious game had an exceptional stay on the West coast of the USA, articulated around 3 key parts: San Francisco, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. 3 places, 3 atmospheres, 3 facets of this legendary land.
Comfortably seated at San Francisco’s Radisson Fisherman’s Wharf Hotel, the participants discovered Alcatraz, Lombard Street and Chinatown. They went through the centre (downtown) by tram, and cycled through the city to Sausalito, a popular holiday spot for wealthy Californians, located on the other side of the famous Golden Gate Bridge.
The next step is Las Vegas, for an evening in prestigious, excessive and themed establishments only seen in the « Sin City »: dinner at the famous Bellagio and a night at the Luxor.
Last but not least, a flight to the Grand Canyon aboard a jet which lands right in the heart of the national park! A highlight of the trip was that the participants had a unique experience in an authentic Mormon ranch of cattle breeders in the heart of deserted expanses. On the program: roping, colt shooting, horseback riding, quad biking, but also flying over the Grand Canyon by helicopter. After a traditional evening around the fire during which guests were able to review the basics of country dance, everyone went to bed for the night in trailers, tents or under the stars for the more adventurous.
The participants finally departed for the Colorado River where a kayaking session with a picnic on a deserted beach was awaiting them, before returning to Las Vegas and attending a dance party on a rooftop overlooking the Strip. An unforgettable moment!
Participants were delighted with the experience and felt boosted, having experienced a range of exceptional moments and being left feeling especially motivated for their sales challenges; their objective being to be part of the next adventure!
